Tiger Beer brings five international football legends to Vietnam with Tiger Street Football

Ho Chi Minh City,  April 29, 2019 – Tiger Beer, Asia’s leading international premium beer, announced today the highly anticipated return of Tiger Street Football in Southeast Asia, which kicks off in Vietnam on 11 May with a non-stop series of exhilarating football tournaments featuring the best local teams.

Giving unknown street football talents a stage to uncage their passion and showcase their skills, Tiger Beer teams up with international football legend and former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand as Tiger Street Football ambassador this year. For the first time in history, Vietnamese football fans will welcome the arrival of Rio Ferdinand in the country together with four other international football legends: Roberto Carlos (Brazil), Luis Figo (Portugal), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast) và Park Ji-sung (South Korea). In addition, Vietnamese goalkeeper Dang Van Lam will be part of the tournament as the local ambassador of Tiger Street Football.

Goalkeeper Dang Van Lam will be the local ambassador of Tiger Street Football 

After a series of local tournaments, Tiger Street Football will bring the action to a specially-constructed football pitch in Ho Chi Minh City on June 23, where the top local team will receive a grand prize of VND 100 million and the opportunity to play against Rio Ferdinand and four other international football legends in an epic five-a-side Grand Final tournament. This one-of-a-kind mega event is expected to attract millions of football fans and generate huge media interest.
