HEINEKEN Vietnam, under Bia Viet brand, made their first trip to offer their donations to affected households in Trieu Trach commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province
Quang Tri, October 29, 2020 – 2020 has been a challenging year for the people in Central Vietnam. Just a few weeks after they went through the resurgence of the COVID-19, they have been faced with some of the country's most catastrophic floods in history, with authorities warning that more bad weather is on its way.
During these difficult times, Vietnamese people demonstrate the mantra of “solidarity is strength”. As a brand created to honor the national spirit that unifies this great country, Bia Viet has committed to donating VND 3 billion in in-kind and in-cash to affected households in some of the most heavily impacted areas in Central Vietnam, particularly in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai.
Today the Bia Viet team made their first trip to offer their donations to affected households in Trieu Trach commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province. From now until the end of November, the team will continue working with the local authorities in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai to identify impacted households and present donations to them in person.
HEINEKEN Vietnam, under Bia Viet brand, made their first trip to offer their donations to affected households in Trieu Trach commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province.
“We want to contribute our humble part in getting immediate relief to some of the most impacted households in the Central region. As a brand created to honor the unified spirit of Vietnamese people across the country, Bia Viet commits to standing by Vietnamese people, especially during trying times,” said Mr. Thai Hoang Long, Bia Viet’s Head of Sales in the Central Region.
Bia Viet is the latest member of HEINEKEN Vietnam’s brand portfolio. Instead of holding launch events earlier this year, Bia Viet adjusted its budget to donate VND 10 billion to support COVID-19 relief efforts in Vietnam. The donation was made to the Vietnam’s Fatherland Front to support health care and emergency service workers on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic.
