Tiger Beer to bring cheers to more than 70,000 football fans at Nguyen Hue pedestrian street

Ho Chi Minh City, November 14, 2019 – Tiger Beer shares the Vietnamese people’s burning passion and love for football by being the main live screening sponsor for 9 matches of Vietnam’s national football team. This includes 2 qualifying matches for World Cup 2022 for the Asian section and 7 qualifying matches for SEA Games 30.

The screenings will be held at Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street (Ho Chi Minh City) from November 14 to December 11, 2019. Covering a distance of more than 1km, the event is expected to accommodate up to 70,000 people per match. The organizer will also install 5 gigantic LED screens ranging from 8 to 12 meters in width for fans to enjoy the games in style.

As a supporter of big sporting events, Tiger Beer is honored to co-host this huge football viewing event in Ho Chi Minh City so that Vietnamese fans can cheer on the national team,” said Alexander Koch, Commercial Director of HEINEKEN Vietnam.

For the World Cup 2022 qualifying rounds, Thailand currently leads Group G with 7 points and is ahead of Vietnam only on total goal difference; whereas UAE ranks third with 3 points. Malaysia and Indonesia are at the bottom of the group.
