Heineken introduces Heineken silver at the Independence Palace: a new, easy-to-drink, great tasting beer from the world`s most international premium beer brand

Ho Chi Minh City, March 22, 2019 – Heineken, the world’s most international premium beer, has excited millions of consumers for decades with its perfect taste and legendary consumer experiences. Today, Heineken continues to delight consumers by launching a new taste variant created by Heineken`s Master Brewers, Heineken Silver.

Heineken Silver is a smooth and easy-to-drink beer, which retains the signature Heineken full-bodied taste known around the world since 1873, perfect for a wide range of occasions. Whilst Heineken Original remains immensely popular in Vietnam, HEINEKEN sees clear consumer demand for more ways to enjoy a Heineken.

Heineken Silver is designed to be the perfect premium beer to enjoy anytime, thanks to it being a well-balanced, refreshing beer, low in bitterness, whilst still keeping the signature Heineken full-bodied taste. Because of its perfect balance, it’s designed to suit a wide range of occasions – including over food, which is one of the most popular occasions in Vietnam.

HEINEKEN believes Heineken Original drinkers will love the refreshing taste of Heineken Silver, as will new consumers, giving people more ways to enjoy a Heineken.

The premium quality and perfectly balanced taste of Heineken Silver is matched with distinctive packaging featuring Heineken’s iconic green and red star on a premium silver background. Heineken Silver is available in sleek can and also in the iconic green bottle, with a silver seal to guarantee its quality. Heineken Original also gets updated packaging as part of a global design refresh, ensuring a contemporary and dynamic look and feel.

The launch party took place at Ho Chi Minh City’s iconic landmark – the Independence Palace. Featuring leading international and Vietnamese acts, the event took the audience on an exciting journey from outer space to major cities around the world and across Vietnam through the eyes of millennials, inspiring consumers to enjoy every moment to the fullest.

Alexander Koch, HEINEKEN Vietnam’s Commercial Director, shared at the launch of Heineken Silver: “We stay constantly engaged with our consumers and we found that even with the huge success of Heineken in Vietnam, there is strong demand for further ways to enjoy Heineken. Heineken Silver offers the best of both worlds, a superior refreshing beer from world-renowned brewer HEINEKEN, giving consumers more ways to enjoy Heineken. Smooth and easy-to-drink, with the signature Heineken full –bodied taste, Heineken Silver is the perfect beer for a wide range of every day occasions.”

Starting from next week, Heineken Silver will be available in all distribution channels nationwide at the same price as Heineken Original. Consumers can also buy Heineken Silver on e-commerce platforms, including Heineken’s Drinkies website at https://www.drinkies.vn/ from this April. Heineken® Silver contains 4% ABV.
